Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently started a new chapter of life with their firstborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Shortly before the royal baby’s birth, rumours began to circulate claiming the Queen had big plans for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – plans which are set to take them overseas all the way to Africa to act as unofficial youth ambassadors.

If confirmed, the news is sure to be welcomed by the new parents who both share a special affinity with the mighty continent.
Last year, Prince Harry told Town & Country that Africa is the place “where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world.”
The young royals fell in love in the African nation of Botswana when Harry took Meghan on a trip to his “spiritual home” where they “camped out with each other under the stars”.
One of the diamonds in the Duchess’ engagement ring even comes from Botswana.
But long before Meghan, long before “to die for” baby Archie, Harry enjoyed an on-again off-again eight year relationship with his first serious girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.

Harry first met the Zimbabwe-born blonde during his gap year in South Africa.
The couple dated between 2003 and 2011 and many royal commentators speculate Harry’s first love Chelsy was the reason for his love of Africa to begin with.
The pair split for good in 2011, after Chelsy admitted to struggling with the scrutiny of life as the girlfriend of a Prince.
However the exes remained friendly with Chelsy even attending Harry and Meghan’s May 2018 royal wedding, along with Harry’s other former flame dancer Cressida Bonas.
