Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding is just months away (pencil May 19 in your diaries), and it looks like they’re first celebrity guest has been confirmed: Sir Elton John.
Tellingly, the legendary musician has cancelled the two shows in his upcoming tour that were due to take place on the weekend of the royal wedding, Harper’s Bazaar UKreports. His website cites a “scheduling conflict” for the change.
Sir Elton John attended the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding and was a dear friend of Princess Diana. He performed ‘Candle In The Wind’ at her funeral in 1997.
Other celebrities, ranging from Barack and Michelle Obama to Patrick J. Adams to Victoria and David Beckham, are also said to have been invited to the wedding.
