Channel 10 has denied approaching Married at First Sight’s Ines Basic to front The Bachelorette.
A spokesperson for the network said rumours that the controversial reality-TV star was asked to star on the show were simply not true.
Ines told radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson that she was asked to audition for The Bachelorette while filming Married at First Sight.

‘Well, I actually did get asked while filming MAFS if I was interested in being picked for it,’ Basic said.
‘I thought I’d be really funny but I was like, “Oh I don’t know, this is already like, so heavy”,’ she added.
Channel 10 said it is possible ‘someone alerted her to the auditions or raised it in conversation.’
The network has instead cast Gogglebox star Angie Kent.
