Everyone has a theory on who is the behind the costumes on The Masked Singer – and two have been revealed already; Gretel Killeen and, allegedly, Robert Mills.
But one contestant has everyone missing their strawberry kisses. Is it indeed Nikki Webster behind the alien mask? Her petite dimensions and singing style certain suggest that it is.

Now the former Sydney 2000 Olympics icon has broken her silence on the rumours, telling the Daily Telegraph’s Jonathan Moran, ‘I am so flattered.’
Speaking of the gossip that has even swept her popular dance studio, the 32-year-old former child star refused to rule out appearing on such a show.
‘I have seen a bit of talk and a lot of kids at the studio,’ she told the Telegraph. ‘Would I do a reality show like that? I don’t know. I guess it depends … right time, right place, it just depends.’
We think the answer is a very big yes.
Other names that already seem likely from last night’s show include 90s diva Deni Hines and judge Dannii Minogue’s e, Kris Smith. And even – some wildly claim – LaToya Jackson.
But whether any of them are really singing live – as Channel Ten vehemently insists they are – remains a hotly debated issue on social media.
Viewers took to Twitter in large numbers to voice their deep suspicions, amid scenes of performers in heavy character masks gyrating sometimes energetically on stage while their vocals remained strangely clear and consistent.
‘So im confused – how is this live?’ wrote one user, followed by another, who said, ‘Hey #MaskedSingerAU, why give mics when they’re masked, they’re surely not singing live then?!’
Others were more disgruntled at the possibility of The Masked Singer being a farce.
‘Everyone knows that no one in singing live on this sh*t right? Literally the worst show on TV,’ said one user.
However, judge Jackie O Henderson is adamant that they are singing live.
‘I’ve seen a set malfunction happen and something fell on one of the singers and the singing stopped straight away,’ Jackie told The Advertiser. ‘They are singing live – 100 per cent fact.’
