He’s not even a contestant, but already Rhyce Power, aka Jessika Power’s ‘hot brother’ has become the star of this season’s Married At First Sight.
Rhyce’s outburst could have something to do with resurfaced claims from 2014 on gossip website The Dirty, made by an anonymous source.
The carpenter and former male stripper denied the allegations at the time, leaving a comment underneath the article.
“Haha that’s me n I find it quite funny my [censored] has sent this in about me n trying to hurt my reputation,” he wrote.
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on January 31, Rhyce further addressed the claims.
“Someone’s got a photo saying I’ve got VROs [Violence Restraining Order] against me and [that I’m violent] against women. Someone took a photo off Google [of a heavily bruised woman] and posted that I’ve done it,” he explained over the phone.
“It’s pretty sad because the girl it actually happened to in 2015 messaged me crying her eyes out because she just got over it. Now this photo’s gone viral about her.”
Probing into the matter further, Kyle Sandilands asked: “That’s totally not true, is that what you’re saying? It’s just a fabrication?”
“It’s not true at all,’ Rhyce replied. ‘Listen I’ve never been in a fight with a guy or [inaudible]”.
The shock news comes after the blue-eyed hunk made his debut on MAFS on Tuesday.
While some viewers expressed alarm at how aggressively protective he appeared over sister Jessika, others were left swooning over his good looks and bad boy attitude.
Since his appearance on the Nine reality show Rhyce’s Instagram following has rocketed from 1,371 to over 39,000.
