After splitting from Dan Webb after a dramatic on-air showdown between the couple as they were interviewed on live TV, the 27-year-old Perth native has been in a “dark place” and was left with “shattered mental health”.
She posted on her Instagram stories on Monday about the haters and trolling she has been contending with.
After sharing a screen shot of an intensely abusive direct message she had been sent, she took control and “blocked the haters.”
“Blocked over 1k of you haters today. #keephating I’m on a roll.”
She also had time to call out the dentist has fixed her smile.
“Oh yeah, also love @voguedentalstudios for keeping me smiling through the hate you ignorant people spew,” Jess chastised.
The part-time model also explained the reason for her absence from social media of late, ironically, in an Instagram post.
“I’ve been quiet the last week or so and many of you have messaged me in concern but I’m alive and well,” Jess confessed.
“I’ve spent the past 2 weeks trying to really pull myself out of the dark place I was left when Dan and I split.
“It was unexpected and very public and honestly it shattered my mental health.
“In a way the breakup has been a blessing because I’m learning about myself and giving myself the love I really needed.
“I feel confident and happy again and I’m excited to start a new chapter.”
