Celebrity Apprentice Australia is back in 2022, meaning a whole new crop of celebrities will battle it out in the boardroom to win money for a charity that’s close to their hearts.

In each episode, the celebrity candidates take on a business challenge in teams and at the end, one member of the losing team gets fired by billionaire boss Lord Alan Sugar.
Underbelly actor Vince Colosimo, Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux, and motivational speaker Turia Pitt are just some of the names competing to win a grand prize for their chosen charity, but can they avoid a firing?

Beck Zemek
In the first challenge, the celebrities were split into two teams and tasked with holding a charity golf event.
During this, Beck Zemek clashed with Project Manager Turia Pitt, who later chose to bring the former MAFS bride back to the boardroom with Gamble Breaux.
“I thought that Beck was manipulative, condescending and patronising,” Turia said as they faced Lord Sugar, who then delivered harsh news to Beck.
“Beck, I don’t think that you are a very good team player. So therefore Beck, You’re fired!” he announced.
Although, Beck was later given a second chance by Lord Sugar and regained her spot in the competition.
Her second time around didn’t last for long, as Beck was sent home once more after a challenge where the teams had to execute a guerilla marketing strategy for food giant Subway.
“Beck you came back from redemption. Since you came back you did up your game here but it’s clear to me you were weak in this task,” Lord Sugar declared. “Beck, you’re fired.”
Eloni Vunakece
The second challenge required teams to run a food delivery service, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
When it came to the boardroom, Eloni Vunakece was called out for “not adding value” to the team by the advisors. In the end, he simply did too little.
“I don’t know what you did in this task,” Lord Sugar told him.
“I don’t think you’re made for this process to be honest, and so Eloni, it is with regret that you’re fired!”
After being brought back by Lord Sugar for a second chance, Eloni was sent home yet again after failing the eighth challenge.
“I think you’ve reached as far as you can in this process,” Lord Sugar told him, before leaving him with a cheque for his charity in recognition of Eloni’s “hard work and effort”.
Jodi Gordon
For the third challenge, teams had to create and run their own health and wellness retreat, with the aim of delivering the best value for money at their guests’ judgement.
Jodi Gordon found herself in the firing line after being questioned by Lord Sugar for her involvement on the wellness retreat.
“Jodi, feedback from the clients wasn’t great and you didn’t do much,” Lord Sugar said. “I’m left with no choice other than to say… you’re fired!”
Gamble Breaux
In the fourth challenge, teams had to trade in their celebrity status and disguise themselves as regular people as they went on a scavenger hunt around Newtown in Sydney.
They were given a list of 10 items they had to bargain for within a short timeframe, and whichever team spent the least amount of money won the challenge.
After wasting so much time trying to buy the wrong tea set, which ultimately led to the team losing the challenge, Gamble Breaux found herself in the hot seat.
“Gamble, you’re fired,” Lord Alan Sugar said.
Vince Colosimo
For the fifth challenge, teams had to record their own live-to-air 60-second infomercial, and whoever produced the most effective infomercial, as judged by Lord Sugar, won.
Vince Colosimo was Team Collaborate’s Project Manager with a new group of celebs after a team reshuffle.
Teams only had one chance to record, thus timing was crucial. Vince didn’t seem to understand this, and they missed the on-air cue.
“I’m just going to cut straight to the chase here mate, you’re fired,” Lord Sugar pointed his finger at Vince.
Jarrod Scott
In the sixth challenge, teams had to hold a car boot sale at Fairfield Markets and sell items from their personal collection. The team that made the most money won the challenge.
After not contributing to the task and making excuses for everything, Jarrod Scott found himself in the firing line.
“Trying to get a straight answer out of you is like trying to fight smoke,” Lord Sugar told him. “And so, you’re fired!”
Samantha Jade
In the seventh challenge, the celebrities had to design their own line of intimate apparel and launch it with a fashion show.
After failing the challenge, Team Collaborate was sent into the boardroom where Lord Sugar tried to pinpoint where it all went wrong.
After a lengthy discussion about whether it was Beck’s leadership or Samantha Jade’s design that cost them the win, Lord Sugar gave his final verdict.
“The product sucked, Sammy you’re fired,” he said.
Will & Woody
After a task that involved writing, illustrating and performing a children’s book didn’t go to plan, project managers Will & Woody found themselves in the boardroom facing Lord Sugar.
Will very chivalrously stepped up in the meeting, as Ronnie Caceres tried to claim Turia Pitt had ‘sabotaged’ the team.
“I’m probably not meant to do this but I can’t substantiate what Ronnie’s saying about Turia,” Will told Lord Sugar.
“If you’re looking for someone to fire, I don’t think you can look much further than here.”
“Gentlemen, it has been a pleasure but you’re fired,” Lord Sugar told them.
Carla From Bankstown
The celebrities were tasked with throwing the ultimate hens and bucks parties, but it was attention to detail that would prove to be the main marking criteria.
In the end Carla, whose real name is Ben, failed to read the contract assigned to her as head of food and beverage, meaning she was left in the boardroom alongside Project Manager Jean Kittson and Darren McMullen, who was head of entertainment.
In the end, Lord Sugar regretfully had to let Carla go.
“Carla … it’s been a blast having you here. You’re a great character. I sincerely wish you well, but I think you’ve reached the final stage of this process,” Lord Sugar told her.
Turia Pitt
It was a TikTok takeover for the 12th challenge, where teams had to conceive, script, shoot and edit a short form piece of content in line with guest stars The Inspired Unemployed’s style.
Despite having the advantage of having comedian Jean Kittson on Team Innovate, Turia Pitt and Amy Shark dismissed Jean’s ideas because they didn’t think she understood social media.
Turia took charge of the video narrative, which The Inspired Unemployed boys described as “all over the place”. It was ultimately the reason the team lost the challenge.
“As the writer, the narrative was your responsibility,” Lord Sugar pointed his finger at Turia. “Turia, you’re fired.”
Bronte Campbell
In the 13th challenge, teams had to create and run their own pet photography studio, with customer satisfaction at the forefront.
Bronte Campbell had the role of customer service advisor, meaning it was her job to make sure photography director Ronnie knew exactly what the customers wanted.
Ultimately, Lord Sugar and the advisors decided that Bronte “should’ve asked the customers more”, placing her directly in the firing line.
“Bronte, I don’t think you did as good a job as those two girls [Amy and Jean] over there, I really don’t,” Lord Sugar said. “Bronte, you’re fired.”
Jean Kittson
In the 14th challenge, teams had to script, cast and shoot a video for software company MYOB, while also making sure the key business messages were conveyed.
Jean Kittson was Team Innovate’s Project Manager, and they lost because MYOB found their video storyline confusing. That left Jean, Amy and Benji to face the firing line.
Ultimately, Lord Sugar found that the Project Manager was responsible for the team’s failure and sent Jean home.
“It is with regret, Jean, that you’re fired,” he said.
Amy Shark
In the final Challenge before the Grand Finale, teams had to pitch an original series idea inspired by their personal life to streaming giant Stan.
With only four celebrities remaining, the teams were scrapped and each star was left to fend for themselves in the task.
Amy Shark was criticised for her pitch and her lack of vulnerability, which led to Lord Sugar sending her packing after he didn’t think she had “the hunger to get to the Grand Final”.
Ronnie Caceres
As for Ronnie Caceres, he was also criticised for his pitch and was accused of ripping off one of Stan’s existing TV series.
Although, his fate was sealed when he let slip that he has a stack of black book contacts he’s saved for the Grand Finale.
“Ronnie, keeping your mates with deep pockets all to yourself isn’t what charity is about,” Lord Sugar said. “You’re fired.”
