It’s the news Macey Rae Wright had been hanging out for. A new heart to repair her own.
Macey’s mum has captured the moment she told her daughter she’d be getting a new heart and has shared it on their Facebook page: Macey’s New Heart.
The teen was born with severe aortic stenosis and mitral stenosis and had surgery as an infant.
She also had open heart surgery aged 11 but two years later her left ventricle is failing and there are no options other than a transplant.
The family uploaded the video with the message: ‘Macey’s hearts here!’
