Police have released shocking pictures of a couple who have apparently overdosed on heroin slumped in the front seat of their car while a four-year-old boy sits in the back.
The police from Ohio posted the pictures to the department’s Facebook page because they wanted to “shock” potential drug users.
‘We feel it necessary to show the other side of this horrible drug. We feel we need to be a voice for the children caught up in this horrible mess. This child can’t speak for himself but we are hopeful this story can convince another user to think twice about injecting this poison while having a child in their custody.’
Police spotted the car swerving in and out of the traffic before slamming on the brakes before hitting a school bus that was dropping off kids. When the car stopped and an officer looked inside he couldn’t believe his eyes.
The couple were taken to hospital and the child is being cared for by Children’s Services.
