A man who carried his three children throughout his sex change transformation is having a hysterectomy.
Thomas Beatie, the ‘world’s first pregnant man’ was born a woman and has given birth to three children while undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
The children were with his first wife, Nancy, but Thomas has recently remarried and he hopes she will carry any future children.
While Thomas retained his sex organs he is now hoping to under the operation which will complete his transition into a man.
‘I can’t carry another baby due to abdominal surgery and I couldn’t have a natural birth now I’ve got a penis anyway,’ he says.
He has two sons and a daughter and is hoping for another daughter with new wife Amber.
