It’s a show built on its warring stars but Lisa Oldfield has gone too far in revealing she allows her young sons to swear.

The outspoken and hilarious star of The Real Housewives of Sydney has called her sons “d**kheads” but dismisses the insult by saying her sons use “much worse language than I do”.

I know Lisa and admire her ability to wear her heart on her sleeve but I’m concerned about her children being drawn into the hoopla surrounding the show.

Speaking on Nova radio, the 41-year-old launched a tirade against her family weeks after revealing her marriage to One Nation co-founder David Oldfield was in crisis.

‘I think people appreciate that I’m real, my kids are d**kheads, I hate my husband,” she said.

Lisa then went on to say her children, Albert, four, and Harry, six, are allowed to swear.

‘(My sons) use much worse language than I do, in fact a lot of the insults, in fact the four-year-old called me this morning a “s**t eating c**k master”. So there you go, a d**khead seems kind of tame.’

While Lisa is entitled to present herself however she likes, revealing that she lets her children swear could potentially impact detrimentally on their lives.

Surely they’re entitled to their privacy and to grow up without their own mother besmirching their reputation even before they’ve hit high school or the job market.

I’ve met Lisa’s boys and they’re delightful kids. But how will other parents feel about letting their children play with the Oldfield boys if they use use foul language?

What will their teachers think? Or employers who Google search them in years to come? Indeed, how will they feel as they grow older and want to shape their own identity?

Lisa has joked that she’s sure the authorities will come knocking after she nicknamed one son “a d**khead” and a “bloody idiot” in an earlier episode of the show.

‘Oh yeah, I’m half expecting DOCS to knock on my door, But they’d see a very well kept, very well loved little boy,’ Lisa told the Daily Telegraph.

Lisa is no doubt a loving mum but in allowing her kids to swear and then revealing as much to the nation she’s risking causing them distress – not just now but in the future.
