AFL star Jarrad McVeigh and wife Clementine had their world turned upside down in 2011, when their newborn tragically passed away after being born with a serious heart condition.
Clementine has taken to her Instagram page to share a touching tribute to her late daughter, who would have turned seven.
‘If only my sweet girl’s heart was still beating,’ she wrote. ‘Thank you for choosing ME as your Mamma & Thank you for Constantly reminding me every single day to Love Life, Be Grateful, Smile, Laugh & Sprinkle Kindness like glitter everywhere I go.
‘I know I’m not alone! So I send so much love and warm hugs to those that have lost a child or children ❤️ Our Angels will forever be in our hearts and our steps through life. Happy 7th Birthday Luella Paloma 👼🏼 💕’
Clementine and Jared welcomed Luella in July 2011, and she tragically passed away four weeks later.
Jared previously told The Age, ‘One of the hardest parts for Clementine was as soon as Luella was born, she only got to hold her – every mother wants to hold their baby – for about two minutes before they took her away.’
The couple welcomed daughter Lolita in July 2012, and another daughter, Florence, in September last year.
