Presenter Andrew Denton, who spoke to Madonna for Channel Seven’s Interview, says the iconic pop star told him she was “completely OCD” when “beds aren’t made or the washing up isn’t done”.
Madonna, 60, and her children moved to the Portuguese city of Lisbon in 2017, so her adopted son David Banda could pursue his soccer dreams.
When Andrew asked whether her six children might be able to help her clean up, she replied: “No, and I’m always on their case about it.”
Andrew, who travelled to London to interview Madonna ahead of the release of her 14th studio album, Madame X, says the ‘Material Girl’ singer was “unexpected in many ways”.
“I was expecting someone who was more formidable, but there was a sweetness and vulnerability about her, which I found really interesting,” Andrew tells New Idea.
Over the years, Madonna has courted controversy, especially with the Catholic Church. The singer tells Andrew in the interview she wants to meet Pope Francis so she can “talk with him about women’s reproductive rights”.
