“It was a slow start for us. We got along but we were more friends at the start,” says Michael, 27.
“We developed that connection as the weeks went on and my homestay was a turning point for us where the feelings blossomed in that week.”
However, since then, he and Martha, 30, have successfully moved into loved-up territory, enjoying a passionate day at the beach.
“When you spend 24 hours a day with someone, you’re either going to end up getting along really well or end up hating each other. But for us, our chemistry has developed and we are quite passionate with each other,” Michael reveals.
The school teacher also admits he’s infatuated with his wife’s body.
“Every time I see her in her bikini or in minimal clothing, I have the exact same reaction and I have to take a deep breath,” he says.
“We both want kids in the future and our values match up,” he says.
“She already makes an amazing wife and I definitely think she’ll make a good mum. People haven’t seen the side of her that I have,” he goes on to say, “the caring side, the kind-hearted side, someone who will do anything for her family and that’s what I can see myself falling in love with.”
