She’s the rockstar of all rockstars. So the fact that RiRi has a lookalike model test out her eyebrow styles before she commits seems totally acceptable to us.
After all, RiRi can’t afford to get that stuff wrong. She is RiRi after all.
And to make sure she doesn’t get that stuff wrong, she has her brow artist experiment on a lookalike model first.
Yep – famed brow artist Damone Roberts (a celebrity favourite – but more on that later) then snaps pics of the model and shoots them over to RiRi. She then scrutinises them up close for a while before deciding if that particular style is truly for her or not.
According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight, so far this system has worked very, very well indeed. In fact, RiRi relied on it before committing to her epic Met Gala brow style in 2018.
“A lookalike model trialed and tried and everything else until we got them perfect, and we sent Rihanna the pictures, and we heard nothing, and of course two days before the Met Gala she’s like, ‘I loved them! You gotta fly to New York and take care of me!'”, says Damone.
“Of course Rihanna shut down the show. It was really, really special.”
Damone, who also tends to the brows of Jenna Dewan, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian-West amongst others, is not wrong. Rihanna’s bleached brow style at the 2018 Met Gala was stunning.
We’re delighted her lookalike model tested this one out and even more pleased that RiRi went for it. She looks so incredibly beautiful we suspect even the Pope would agree.
