Esther’s Pinky Promise

Why Esther Anderson has joined Pink Hope’s Pinky Promise campaign

After watching two close friends fight cancer, actress Esther Anderson wants to help raise awareness about the importance of staying on top of your own health. “I’ve seen friends who are a lot younger than me have to fight disease and it’s hard to comprehend,” says Esther. “It’s great if we can encourage people of every age to be aware of their health and actively take steps to take control of it.”

Esther, with the help of her best friend Vanessa Budah, have signed up to be a part of Pink Hope’s Pinky Promise. “Women turn to their besties for health support and advice,” says Krystal Barter, founder of the preventative breast and ovarian cancer charity Pink Hope. After 10 years of friendship, which spans the Pacific Ocean since Esther’s move to LA, the friends have always shared a close bond. “Nessy has such a beautiful spirit, we’ve spent many afternoons writing down our hopes and dreams, and our template for manifesting the life we want to create!”

The Pinky Promise initiative is now in its second year and it aims to get friends talking regularly about their health, as well as sharing tips on how to stay on top of their health, and giving each other support. Esther tells us:  “My friends mean the world to me and I’ll always have their back when it comes to their health. Every time I have my checks, I’ll make sure I talk about it with my girlfriends, and that reminder to them may make a huge difference in early detection. You just never know.”
