There’s sad news for Gogglebox fans, with stars Tim and Leanne leaving the Network Ten reality series after just one season on the couch.
Their shock exodus follows that of Angie and Yvie, who appeared on this year’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here and much-loved couple Wayne and Tom.
Tim and Leanne are currently on screens in season nine of the series.
Auditions for Tim and Leanne’s replacements are currently under way, with two new Queensland couples joining in season 10.
Melbourne siblings, Tim and Leanne joined the show to great fanfare this season. An industry source tells New Idea the couple have not proved as popular with fans as other Gogglebox stars.
Speaking with New Idea earlier this year, Tim and Leanne said they were “initially nervous about being compared against Tom & Wayne and Angie & Yvie”.
“But at the end of the day, we are who we are. We have our unique opinions and approach so as long as we remain true to ourselves, we have nothing to be nervous about!”
Tim is a retail technology consultant who lives in suburban Melbourne with his fiancé and their dog, River. His sister, meanwhile, lives with her partner and two Chihuahuas.
