Lisa Wilkinson had an unwelcome blast from the past at the Logie Awards last month when she crossed paths with embattled Channel Nine anchor Karl Stefanovic on the red carpet.
The former Today Show co-hosts reportedly had an awkward exchange outside the Star Gold Coast, and on Sunday night’s The Project 59-year-old Lisa finally clarified what went down between two of Australia’s biggest TV stars.

Project co-host Hamish MacDonald asked: “So what did you say to Karl on the red carpet?”
Lisa curtly replied: “I told him to go **** himself.”
But Lisa quickly gave the game away as she broke into a bout of laughter, making it clear she was joking about her rumoured feud with the This Time Next Year presenter.
Still, it seems there’s no love lost between the former co-hosts who avoided each other at all costs at the Logies.
Since leaving the Nine Network in 2017 because of a pay dispute over her position on the Today Show, Lisa has moved on to join the panel of Channel Ten’s The Project.
In a recent interview with an Australian publication, the mother-of-three made a pointed comment which proved she’s not up for sharing her seat with anyone, least of all her former colleague Karl.
“I think we’re full at the inn at the moment,” she said.
“He might have to take a number.”

Lisa also took aim at Karl during a chat with the Herald Sun, in which she noted it was “difficult working with big egos” and praised the “integrity” of her new colleagues at Ten.
Since leaving the Today show last year after a rumoured sacking when his personal life began to affect ratings, Karl, 44, has worked out his contract with the Nine Network, and the new season of This Time Next Year is due to air soon.
