The latest hiccup saw a contestant engage in a heated argument with the judges on Tuesday night after none of the four turned their chairs during her blind audition.

Kirrah Amosa made it known that she didn’t agree with the experts decision, prompting coach Delta Goodrem to tell her: “I don’t feel like you’re listening to any of our advice.”

Kirrah dramatically stormed off stage leaving viewers stunned.

The young brunette singer, who belted out Rita Ora’s Let Me Love You, received her first critique from musical icon Boy George who said she “sounded a little nervous” adding “that’s completely understandable”.

Delta, 34, encouraged Kirrah by saying “there were some great moments – you obviously have a talent”, adding: “But what I was picking on is you don’t have to be loud to be heard. Being louder doesn’t necessarily mean we hear you.”

Guy Sebastian chimed in noting “there’s a little wall up right now” between Kirrah and the coaches, and asked the contestant if she was “trying to prove a point”.

Kirrah replied: “Yeah? I would have loved for you to have turned around and there’s a reason that you didn’t.”

American superstar Kelly Rowland then offered some constructive criticism, saying: “The truth is you’re up on that stage because you want to sing so I’m hoping that you’ll be open to what we have to say.

“It comes from a really pure place – we’re not here to bark at you! We want this to be a learning experience. I hope you’re taking something from this?”

Kirrah quipped back: “The sun is still going to come up tomorrow.”

Clearly unimpressed with the contestant’s attitude, Delta Goodrem said “I don’t feel like you’re listening to any of our advice”, before the camera panned to Kirrah’s dramatic stomp off stage.

Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly lamented: “When they don’t know how to take a no, it can be tough.”

The Voice Australia continues on Channel Nine.
