Fans of late Hollywood superstar Patrick Swayze have been left in shock, following disturbing and outrageous allegations published in the US that he was the victim of domestic abuse before his passing from pancreatic cancer.
Although seemingly happily married to wife Lisa Niemi for 34 years, American website Radar Online has sensationally claimed that Patrick suffered during his final months, due to alleged violence at the hands of his spouse. An angry Lisa strenuously denies the horrifying claims.
Close friends of the late star told the site he was virtually kept a prisoner in his own home, with family and friends unable visit him. This was said to be particularly difficult for his own mother, who missed out on precious time with her beloved son.
Even more shocking are the claims of physical abuse – with the unnamed source outrageously claiming that Lisa in fact beat her husband, who had shrunk to half of his body weight (to 90 pounds), and was virtually defenceless at the time.
‘She wouldn’t hit him with stuff — she would claw at his arms and neck. She would punch and slap him,’ the source said.
The website also reports that Lisa had ‘several affairs with both men and women’ during their marriage.
But Lisa has fought back against the appalling claims, with her spokesperson speaking to MailOnline, saying, ‘It is categorically untrue. It is that simple.’
Patrick and Lisa were childhood sweethearts and married in 1975, before he landed his breakout role as Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing.
