After copping criticism for her bedraggled and semi-nude VMAs look, Kim Kardashian only has one person to blame – her husband Kanye West. With her old clothes in the bin, and having surrendered herself entirely to his crazed artistic vision, the starlet is fully under his control.
Insiders tell RadarOnline that the rapper’s controlling ways over his wife extend to all her wardrobe choices, and he is the one who forced her to step out in her controversial ensemble.
‘Kanye “designed” the look,’ says an insider. ‘He wanted her to look a certain way for the VMAs… He has a vision and she follows whatever he says.’
While Kanye even dictated his wife’s controversial post-shower hairstyle, the source says Kim never speaks up for herself, especially when it comes to fashion.
‘She blindly trusts him when he tells her what to wear because she thinks he’s a fashion genius,’ says the source. ‘She believes he has opened all these fashion doors for her and she wants to be in this world.’
Indeed, Kim says when they first started dating she was left ‘crying’ after Kanye threw out all her clothes.
‘When we first started dating, he went through my closet, he put everything he thought wasn’t cool enough in a pile,’ says Kim, revealing the rapper then gave her an ‘entire room filled with new clothes’.
And it appears Kanye has continued to wield his power over Kim ever since, with the source adding, ‘Kanye is in control of Kim. From her clothes to her hair to her friends, he is in charge.’
