The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit the Chelsea Flower Show

And saw a flower named after their daughter.

The sun shone on celebrities and royals on Monday as the Chelsea Flower Show opened its doors.

The world-famous garden show, which opens to the public on Tuesday, attracted stars including Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike, actress Demi Moore and cook Mary Berry on its press day.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first visit to the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show this evening as they joined several other members of the royal family including, Prince Harry, the Queen and Prince Philip at the annual floral festival.

But the couple had an added reason to attend this year, as they saw the pink and green chrysanthemum that has been named in honour of their daughter Princess Charlotte.
