Sylvia Jeffrey’s has more than a few regrets.
Talking with KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show this morning, Sylvia opened up about the infamous ‘Ubergate’ scandal, that saw herself, Karl Stefanovic and her husband Peter Stefanovic, axed from Today.

In 2018, Today show host Karl Stefanovic and his brother Peter Stefanovic made a call to Today newsreader Sylvia Jeffreys on speakerphone while in an Uber, where the brothers slammed colleagues Richard Wilkins, Georgie Gardner, Mark Burrows as well as the Channel Nine bosses.
The extraordinary attack reportedly lasted 45 minutes and resulted in the three once-prominent fixtures of Today getting axed from the show.
“What did you and Pete and Karl talk about during all that Ubergate scandal?” Kyle asked Sylvia.
“Was there some accusations, ‘I can’t believe you had me on speaker, are you dumb?’ Nothing like that?”
“No nothing like that,” Sylvia reveals, “No accusations. It was just ‘Gee, we really stuffed this up’. It was a big old oops.”
While the trio of journalists took some time off this year to recuperate from the scandal, all three have begun new and exciting projects.
Last Monday, Sylvia announced her new gig as a newsreader for 9 News Watch.
