Brad Pitt will now be breathing a sigh of relief, with the ‘child abuse’ scandal that hit him days after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce looking set to evaporate – with the FBI confirming that charges will not be laid against him.
The allegations exploded after stories were apparently leaked to the US media in the wake of Ange’s divorce action, claiming that Brad had become involved in a heated slanging match with Angelina on a domestic US flight, with son Maddox, 15, apparently coming between the two and making some physical contact with an angry Brad – something which his side say was completely incidental.
The claims sparked frenzied speculation in the US press that Ange’s team were planning on playing dirty to help her win full custody. Now it seems the abuse claims are going to come to nothing, with the FBI washing its hands of the matter.
Custody of the couple’s children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, Vivenne and Knox Jolie-Pitt, 8 looks set to be a central issues in their divorce, with assets unlikely to take centre stage in any legal tussle.
