She’s engaged to be married but Seven Year Switch’s Jackie didn’t have a ring – until now.
The mum-to-be shared a picture of the diamond heirloom on Instagram and the story behind the ring is heartwarming.
Captioning the picture, Jackie said they hadn’t had the chance to share their story with family friends, but as they had been ‘papped’ – ‘here it is.’
‘Knowing that Tim and I were unable to get the tattoo rings with me falling pregnant, Mum asked me if I’d be interested in her engagement ring,’ Jackie wrote.
Adding, ‘I was absolutely overwhelmed by this offer.
‘She hasn’t worn it in years and usually wears Dad’s wedding ring now as he passed away a few years ago.’
Honoured by the ‘sentimental’ gift, Jackie said her parents were together 50 years before her father passed away. The diamond has been passed down through the family ‘for generations.’
She finished saying, ‘It is the most perfect ring in the world. But I won’t be making a habit of wearing it to the beach or the gym!’
The reality star revealed to New Idea in March she was pregnant.
‘We’re having what we’re calling our ‘Seven Year Switch baby!’ Jackie said.
The once troubled couple credit their time on the show to their now happy relationship.
‘It’s because of the show we sorted things out and are now having a baby. It’s just incredible!’ she said, adding: ‘We got pregnant within a week of finishing the show, so that was a shock.’
