Taking to Instagram, the 17-year-old shared an old photo of his father and himself on a motorbike that belonged to the late Steve Irwin, followed by an updated side-by-side one of himself on the very same bike.
“I have so many memories of Dad’s old motorbike – hanging on to the front with Bindi as we’d ride around the zoo with Dad,” he said.
The youngest Irwin revealed he’s been working on fixing his dad’s old bike, and is proud to say that it’s back to its former glory and is ready to be taken for a spin.
“And now after being in the shed for a few years, it’s all fixed up and running again. It’s so special to be riding it after all this time!”

Fans were left in a rather emotional state, with many reminiscing the late Aussie icon.
“Just think man now u can take ur sisters little one for a ride like ur dad did with u and ur sister. Make more memories and enjoy them life is super short,” one user wrote.
“A special connection for you with your Dad,” commented another.
Another follower added: “This is just the most heart-warming thing ever!!”

The trip down memory lane comes after Robert recently received the Wildlife Photographer of The Year People’s Choice Award for a poignant aerial photo of a bushfire raging that he snapped himself.
Robert explained that he was “incredibly excited” to officially announce the news.
“For me, nature photography is about telling a story to make a difference for the environment and our planet,” he added.
