Richard Wilkins’ son Christian showed his sassy side as he and his TV presenter father returned to Sydney following Karl Stefanovic’s wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico.
The father and son appeared fresh faced as they strolled through Sydney airport with their luggage on Dec. 12.

“Must have been an honour to be at the wedding of Australia’s best journalist – if not the world Dickie,” – a reporter asked Richard as he walked through the airport wearing mirrored sunglasses, a black top and a grey jacket.
“It was a lovely couple of days,” Richard replied, while his partner Virginia Burmeister smiled beside him.
“Great couple of days,” Richard repeated.
The reporter appeared to be making reference to claims Karl Stefanovic’s ex wife Cassandra Thorburn made as she returned to Sydney after a weekend in Melbourne.

New Idea exclusively revealed how Cass told a reporter: “After we separated [Karl] … said [to me]: “It is very, very hard to be the best journalist in Australia, quite possibly the world”. That tells you who that man is and who he thinks he is.”
“Is Karl the best journalist in Australia if not the world?” a reporter asked Richard’s son Christian, who was dressed to impress in a black hat adorned with pink ribbon and a floral shirt paired with matching pants.
“I mean, of course,” Christian replied.

The reporter then went on to ask Richard about claims a British guest at the wedding failed to recognise the Today Show star.
“First I’ve heard of it,” Richard replied. “What? A British guest? Why would a British guest know who I was?”
“Apparently you told them, “don’t you watch television?’” the reporter went on – to which Richard shook his head.
“I don’t think we’re on in Britain,” he said.

Later Richard again described the wedding as “very good”.
“The only wedding I’ve been to in Mexico and it was fantastic,” he gushed.
Richard’s son Christian was then asked if the “military” presence close to the wedding was there “to protect him”.
At which point the model gave his sassiest answer yet: “I certainly hope so,” he said.
