The real reason Married at First Sight stars Elizabeth and Sam were matched up has been revealed.
9Honey dug up both audition tapes for the controversial couple and revealed that the pair both admitted that being good looking scared off potential partners.
“I know what I look like, I’m not silly, like I know I have a very nice face, I’m very aware of that,” Elizabeth said.
“I do the heels and everything, full lashes… but I probably get more looks with no makeup than makeup, and I probably get approached more,” she added.
“I do look different, but it’s not bad,” she said “I have a very, very nice face.”
Husband Sam’s response was scarily similar.
“From what I’ve been told, I come across as intimidating,” he said.
“I’ve smiled at girls that I’ve been interested in, and it’s nothing… I get shut down every time,” he lamented, adding that he comes across as a “f—boy”.
“I can’t break that barrier, maybe it’s me, I don’t know.”
It’s safe to say that all hell broke loose during Sunday night’s commitment ceremony when Sam admitted his affair with Ines while sitting next to his ‘wife’ Elizabeth on the couch in front of the experts.
Lizzie has since admitted that both Sam and Ines have tried to reach out to her.
