Prince Andrews is reportedly furious over the royal duties his daughters have been assigned.
The Sunday Express reports The Queen has been pulled into the middle of things after Prince Andrews wrote a letter to his mother saying his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, should be carrying out full-time duties like Prince William and Prince Harry.
He also wants his daughters to have larger living quarters at Kensington Palace.
The request apparently comes from concerns his daughters will be overshadowed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry when Charles becomes king.
A source told the publication: ‘Amanda [the Duke’s private secretary] originally drafted the letter and couched it in very reasonable terms, but the Duke did not think it made his case strongly enough so tore it up and put pen to paper himself.’
‘He believes his daughters are already being overshadowed by William, Kate and Harry and the situation will get worse as Prince George and Princess Charlotte get older.
‘He has long argued that as the only “blood princesses” in the family, Beatrice and Eugenie deserve proper royal roles like their cousins, along with the same standard of accommodation at Kensington Palace.’
