Prince Charles was 12 years Prince Andrews senior, but growing up it was Andrews dashing good looks that stole the spotlight away from the future King of England.
In a new tell-all Royal book Charles, Prince of Wales, it’s revealed that an often restricted Charles frequently “lost his temper” over his much freer younger brother, Andrew.
According to the author, Anthony Holden, “Prince Andrew’s dashing good looks began to steal some of Charles’ thunder, wounding his vanity and causing a few acid remarks”.

Holden details a particularly nasty incident between the royal siblings in 1978, during a parachuting training exercise.
According to Holden, Andrew teased Charles by saying, “You’re getting on a bit for this sort of thing, aren’t you?”
Charles apparently responded with fury and accosted him in front of everyone present.

It seems as if this royal feud hasn’t let up all these years later. During the Queens Diamond Jubilee, Prince Charles wouldn’t allow Andrew to stand with the “full-time” royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
