Pink has finally confirmed that her blistering Instagram post about women using their bodies for success was aimed squarely at Kim Kardashian.
Speaking on Watch What Happens Live, the 38-year-old revealed she lashed out at the reality star after she made fun of Bette Midler, who had criticised Kim for posting a nude picture of herself to Instagram in March 2016.
“Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera,” Bette cheekily commented in the image at the time.
Prompting 36-year-old Kim to reply: Hey @BetteMidler I know it’s past your bedtime but if you’re still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding.”
Speaking of the spat, Pink said: “Honestly she went in one Bette Midler and if you go in on Bette Midler, you’re going to hear from me.
Just don’t talk to Bette Midler about anything.”
Mum-of-two Pink’s post got huge praise from her fans when she encouraged them to use their “brains” rather than their bodies to achieve success.
It read: “Shout out to all of the women, across the world, using their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent, their ‘magic’ that they were born with, that only they possess.
“It may not ever bring you as much ‘attention’ or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your t**s and a***s, but women like you don’t need that kind of ‘attention’.
“In the quiet moments, you will feel something deeper than the fleeting excitement resulting from attention, you will feel something called pride and self-respect.
“Keep on resisting the urge to cave. You’ll never have to make silly excuses for yourself.”
