After years of pining over ex-wife Linda Kozlowski, Paul Hogan has been left devastated and heartbroken once again.
In a shock twist, the 59-year-old actress is celebrating her surprise engagement to Moroccan lover Moulay Hafid Baba – ending Hoges’ long-held dream that he and Linda would one day reconcile.
‘Paul’s devastated by the news,’ a friend reveals. ‘He’s doing his best to suck it up and act happy for Linda, but deep down it stings to high hell that it looks like she’ll be walking down the aisle with someone else.’
‘It’s a bitter blow for Paul, but ultimately he can’t be surprised at this news,’ our insider continues.
‘As much as he wallowed in sadness and pined for Linda all this time, he didn’t really put up a fight to win her back. She must have known Paul had those feelings deep down, but she decided to do the right thing and move forward with her life.’
Sources say Paul, who is single and has refused to move on since Linda, still yearns for the days when they were ‘hot and heavy’.
The pair became megastars after falling in love while filming Crocodile Dundee in 1986 and were known to share an intense chemistry, even after the split.
