Olivia Newton-John has reached out to her fans with a health update three months after news broke of her breast cancer relapse.
The iconic Aussie star said she was ‘feeling great’ in a video promoting her We Go Together fundraiser for her Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.
‘I’d like to express my gratitude to all of you who sent such kind and loving messages of support over the past few months,’ she said in the clip.
‘Your prayers and well wishes have truly helped me, and continued to lift my spirits.
‘I’m feeling great and so look forward to seeing you soon!’
‘This was my dream, and it’s now a reality,’ said the Grease star, urging her fans to donate ‘to grow our critical research, pioneer trials and deliver holistic care to all who are in need.’
A rep for Olivia Newton-John also told ET, ‘Olivia is finishing her treatments and is excited to see her fans when she begins performing again next week.’
Olivia first battled breast cancer in 1992, undergoing a partial mastectomy, and becoming an advocate for breast cancer awareness and early detection.
In May, after cancelling the first half of her concert tour, she shared that back pain she had been having turned out to be breast cancer that had metastasized to the sacrum.
