Survivor Australia star Moana Hope has broken her silence on her shocking split from model wife Isabella Carlstrom, in a candid interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.
The pair married in August 2019, and share a daughter Svea whom Isabella gave birth to, and a son Ahi, whom Moana gave birth to with the help of sperm donors.
Documenting their IVF journey and life as a rainbow family online, the couple has amassed a devoted legion of fans who have followed the family through all their highs and lows.

“We had been unhappy for quite a while….” Moana admitted sadly.
“We do love each other; we just fell out of love.”
The former AFLW player went on to add: “I love Bella, she is an unbelievably kind human. She inspires me as a mum but we just grew apart.”
She then went on to reveal that she and Bella had “tried everything” to get their relationship back to a happy place but eventually, they both realised things would never be the same between them.

The comments come just six weeks on from when both Isabella and Moana confirmed their split to the world via their respective social media accounts.
Taking to her Instagram on May 15th, Isabella wrote: “It’s with a heavy heart that Mo and I have decided to separate. We will continue to raise our beautiful kids together as we consciously uncouple. We appreciate all the love and support over the years, thank you.”
Later in the day, Moana published a statement of her own to her Instagram stories writing: “Bell and I have separated. I understand that I live a public life and people may have questions, and whilst I live my life candidly, my main priority at this time is our beautiful children and I ask that you respect my privacy.”
Fans were quick to share their disbelief and sadness for the couple at the news writing, “Gosh, this was the last thing I expected to read,” whilst others simply wrote “sending love, I know you will both be amazing co-parents.”
It is unclear yet whether or not the former love birds have divorced legally.

The news came after weeks of speculation where eagle-eyed followers noticed an almost indiscernible change to both Moana and Isabella’s Instagram bios, both women removing their wife’s name and the ring emoji.
When New Idea reached out to a representative for Moana to confirm or deny the rumours, we were told there would be no comment at the time, but now it seems that what we, and fellow fans of the couple, suspected was sadly true.
