Many viewers have suspected that the home stays in MAFS aren’t all they’re cracked up to be, questioning whether the houses or apartments are really the contestant’s homes. And it seems they were right.
Former MAFS husband Dean Wells confirmed that last year, his ‘home’ was in fact an Airbnb rental.
“The house for my home stay was an Airbnb, as at my real home,” Dean said via Instagram. “I had a flatmate that didn’t want to be filmed.”
And it seems like they are using the same ploy this year too. Last night we saw Jess take Mick to her home in a suburb of Perth and many questioned how someone her age could afford such a beautiful home.
“How can Jessika afford that house being a 27-year-old admin officer?” one tweeted.
Well it seems that she can’t, unless she is related to Airbnb landlady Beverley, who guests of her place confirm lives at the house.
The five bed, three bathroom home close to the beach in Perth’s northern suburbs is described as a ‘beautifully presented modern home. Fully self-contained kitchen. Private courtyard, spacious and immaculate throughout.’
What it isn’t described as is a TV set for a popular reality show. And while Beverly has the usual mix of reviews, one guest rated her highly as a host.
“Beverly is a very welcoming host and her home is situated in a beautiful residential area close to the coast, the guest reviewed on the Airbnb site. “She kindly gave us tips of the local area and was flexible with our check out time.
“The house is stylish, spacious and comfortable which our family enjoyed very much. We would love to stay again if we have a chance to visit Perth again.”
Just what Jessika’s real place looks like is anyone’s guess!
