Married At First Sight‘s Melissa Lucarelli is reportedly considering taking legal action against her former TV husband Dino Hira after he recorded her private phone conversations without her consent.

In an interview with the Herald Sun the 38-year-old claimed Dino shared the recordings with MAFS producers before she was aware they existed, telling the outlet: “It’s illegal to record a conversation when you’re not in the conversation [yourself].”

The talent manager revealed she was discussing personal and sensitive family matters with her sister when Dino made the tapes, and admitted “half” of her wants to “proceed with legal action” after she was approached by a lawyer.

Mel added she felt producers had edited scenes to paint her in a negative light and said Dino “played the victim” while she looked mean.

A spokesperson from Endemol Shine Australia responded to the controversy saying Dino was reprimanded and the recording had been deleted.

The comments come after the ill fated couple left the social experiment on Sunday night, with Mel admitting she “never really found out who [Dino] was”.

She further revealed she thought the self-professed spiritual guru’s “peaceful” persona was rehearsed and disingenuous.
