On Sunday night’s episode of Married At First Sight the showdown between Lizzie and Sam finally happens at the commitment ceremony.
Lizzie is the first to speak and she brings up the rumours she has been hearing about Sam hooking up with Ines.
John asks Sam what he has to say about the rumours and the tradie finally comes clean sending the room into shock waves.
“It’s been hard… I didn’t know if Elizabeth was going to come back and Bronson is going to hate me, but there were times I caught up with Ines,” Sam admits.
“We had a few drinks… and I came into this experiment hoping to meet someone and there was attraction between Ines and I…Ines made the first contact, through Instagram and I chose to act on that,” he adds.
The room is left in shock and Lizzie looks understandably downcast. “The thing that he said was that I was being disrespectful, while he was with another chick…” Lizzie blubbers.
In the end they both decide to leave the experiment and Sam attempts to apologise.
“I have to say sorry…” he says.
Lizzie shakes her head. “I just don’t want to be made to feel like crap all the time..”
