Married At First Sight star Ines Basic has opened up about coping with vicious online trolls and real life stalkers.
The Bosnian-born beauty took to social media to share a lengthy video touching on her experience with haters since she shot to fame on season six of MAFS earlier this year, in which she admitted police have conducted drive by’s past her Brisbane home to keep her safe.
WATCH Ines get candid about dealing with online hate and real life stalkers:
Speaking on Instagram stories, the MAFS bad girl admitted there isn’t a name she hasn’t been called online.
“A lot of the really insane stuff people send me goes to my DMs. I guess they’re just too weak to leave it on my comments,” she said.
“Usually it’s like, refugee scum, Slavic dog… I get rape threats.
“I’ve had the police do drive by’s past my house because of stalkers – yeah, I’ve really seen it all.”
The legal secretary – who endured an ill fated marriage to TV husband Bronson Norrish on the Channel 9 social experiment and an adulterous affair with Sam Ball – said she holds back from sharing her emotions online because of the level of hate she receives on social media.
“I don’t open up much but that’s because of all the stuff you guys don’t really see – I’m protecting myself.
“I don’t have the resources to protect myself the way other people do, like I’m not Madonna!”
Touching on how she overcomes the negative comments, Ines said she tries to look on the bright side but admitted it’s getting increasingly difficult.
“I’ve been through a lot of s**t in my life, but I’m starting to think this is the worst!” she said with a cackle.
