Hot on the heels of her E! reality series, Mariah’s World, comes news that Mariah Carey has inked a deal with the US Hallmark Channel.
The 46-year-old has reportedly signed a deal with the network, which will see her develop, executive produce, direct and co-star in three original movies. She will also compose and produce an original song for each.
The first made-for-TV movie will premiere during the 2017 Countdown To Valentine’s Day event.
Mariah currently holds the title of the network’s most-watched holiday special, with the musical Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas.
‘We are honoured to continue our collaboration with the multi-talented Mariah Carey,’ Michelle Vicary, EVP Programming at Crown Media Family Networks, said in a statement to Deadline.com. ‘It’s rare to work with a talent who can produce, direct, star and also compose original music for a project, and we know she will deliver for our viewers once again.’
