Hollywood actress Leah Remini is not a fan of Tom Cruise.
The former Scientologist has slammed the religion’s poster boy as “diabolical,” during a shocking tirade against him at a Reddit AMA earlier this week.
The 47-year-old – who famously left the church in 2013 – was promoting the second season of her critically acclaimed series, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, when she was asked if Cruise was a “good person.”
“No!” she replied bluntly. “Just going to get straight to it, no!”
“There is a public persona of the guy who looks at you directly in the eye and shakes your hand and hugs you and is an attentive person to you and there’s the person behind the mask who is a completely different person.”
She continued: “Someone could say we all have that – what we are to the public and who we are behind the scenes, but the people who are around Tom and work for Tom, not even people who are Scientologists, they will say he is diabolical.”
“He’s very similar to David Miscavige (the leader of the Church), they could be twins,” she added.
“People who’ve worked with me will say I can be an a******e – all actors can be. That is different.”
“He’s very similar to David Miscavige (the leader of the Church), they could be twins,” she added.
This isn’t the first time the King of Queens star has publically lashed out at the father-of-three.
In an interview with Larry King back in 2016, she claimed the Top Gun star thought she was “the devil” for speaking out against the religion.
“Tom and most Scientologists, all Scientologists, are taught to believe that people like me are literally the devil, that we mean them harm,” she said.
“Tom is very well-aware of what is Scientology, truthfully. He is very well-aware that it’s an organisation that is defrauding people out of their lives.”
“But in his heart, I believe he believes it.”
