Jessika Power’s time on Married At First Sight can best be described as a tumultuous mess, as she embarked on a cheating scandal that somehow eclipsed the horrendous adultery undertaken by fellow castmates Ines Basic and Sam Ball.
Now, the reality TV star has taken the opportunity to learn from her mistakes by giving all those B-list hopefuls some sage advice when it comes to applying – and starring – on the inevitable trainwreck that is MAFS.

Participating in an Instagram Q&A to answer some of her fans hard-hitting questions, talk quickly turned to Jess’s time on the popular Channel 9 reality show.
When asked if she had any advice for future cast members, Jess answered honesty, while also taking a subtle swipe at the experts matchmaking skills: “Be yourself and let your personality shine through.”
Jess pointedly added: “Go in there with no expectations. I got matched with Mick, now he’s a really nice guy, but what were they thinking?”

Jess also revealed that if you plan to appear on Married At First Sight, you can expect to be out of pocket by a fair amount.
When one social media user asked the blonde bombshell how much the cast of MAFS get paid, Jess gave a rather blunt response, claiming that the cast most likely spent more per day then what they earnt.
“We got a daily rate.
“We had to still pay for our own hair, nails, no one dressed us, our makeup wasn’t done, and food also.
“I think we spent more than what we earnt.”
An interesting tidbit that was revealed during the extensive Q&A session was that those couples who got married first got better honeymoons, so as to ensure that everyone was able to be back in Sydney for the first dinner party.
“Your honeymoon was dependent on when you got married,” Jess revealed, “So if you got married earlier, you got an overseas holiday. If you got married late you got an interstate holiday, because everybody needed to be at the dinner party at the same time so we could all meet each other.”
As for what Jess would change if she had her time again, she admits she would want to be more honest.
“I saw what I wanted and I went for it on the show. I would have changed the way I went about it, the aggressive nature that I took and the lies that I told.”
