They put on a flirty display at the 74th Venice Film Festival, and after first starring together nearly five decades ago, Jane Fonda has admitted she still can’t get enough of her sex scenes with Robert Redford!
The legendary actors hugged and kissed as they accepted their Lifetime Achievement awards, with Jane revealing she wished the sex scene in their latest Netflix romance Our Souls At Night lasted longer.
‘I live for sex scenes with him,’ she said. ‘He’s a great kisser so it was fun to kiss him in my 20s and to kiss him again in my almost 80s.’
The chemistry that lit up the 1967 romantic comedy film Barefoot in the Park – one of their most memorable pairings – was clearly evident as Jane, 79 and Robert, 81 put on a tactile display during their red carpet walkabout.
In Barefoot in the Park, Jane told reporters, “we played that young love just getting married and now we’ve played old people’s love — and old people’s sex.”
“Although in my opinion Ritesh cut the sex scene too soon,” Fonda added, referring to director Ritesh Batra.
Redford produced Our Souls at Night, which is based on a novel by Kent Haruf. He said he did it in part because the youth-obsessed movie business doesn’t make enough films for older audiences.
