Things aren’t what they seem when it comes to Ellen DeGeneres’s happiness, with rumours swirling that the 58-year-old talk show host is ‘miserable’.
‘These last few months have been awful for Ellen. She’s miserable and upset about her career and her home life,’ an insider told US mag In Touch Weekly.
‘Not only have decisions been made about her show without her consent, but she and Portia have been fighting nonstop.’
Ellen apparently tries to put on happy face in public, but the source says ‘she’s an absolute mess’, adding, ‘Ellen is having a full on meltdown.’
The magazine reports the problems stem from work, with producers making changes to Ellen’s show.
‘When she’s miserable, she makes sure everyone around her is too,’ said the source, and that includes Portia.
The couple have reportedly been fighting all summer over starting a family – and Portia’s career.
‘Ellen has all the money in the world and wants Portia to stop working so they can travel and spend more time together,’ the source said.
‘They just aren’t on the same long-term path. It’s a constant battle.’
