She might be a comedienne by trade, but Ellen DeGeneres has no qualms being the butt of her own joke!
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of her talk show, the 59-year-old has taken to Instagram to share a hilarious throwback snap with fans… and she looks completely unrecognisable!
“Here’s a photo of me when I was just about 15 (WHY God, WHY?!)” she wrote.
“Post a post a photo from when you were 15 with #ellen15 and you just might see yourself on my show next week.”
In the shot, a seemingly unimpressed Ellen can be seen grimacing at the camera through her voluminous auburn curls.
And while her face appears a little rounder in her teens and her trademark suit and sneakers are nowhere in sight, her piercing blue eyes are just as striking as ever.
Many of the star’s 47 million followers were quick to point out how much she had changed.
“You look like a totally different woman!” one user penned.
“You’ve matured beautifully,” added another.
It’s a major milestone for the Ellen DeGeneres Show, with the actress recently admitting she has no plans to wrap things up.
“It’s still exciting,” she confessed in an interview with Good Housekeeping.
“There is so much great energy and love in that room.”
