Ed Sheeran’s awe inspiring career path led him to romances with some of the world’s most famous females, from Victoria’s Secret models to platinum selling songstresses.
But in the end, Ed fell for someone much closer to home – his childhood sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn.
Ed Sheeran met Cherry Seaborn at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, a town in Suffolk, England when he was just 11 years old.
The two became friends but went their separate ways after Sheeran dropped out to pursue a career in the music industry, while Seaborn continued with full-time education and went on to study molecular biology at Duke University in the US.
After reconnecting in 2015, Sheeran announced his engagement to Seaborn on January 20, 2018 by sharing a sweet snap of the pair to his Instagram account with the caption, ‘Got myself a fiance just before the new year’.
The pair sparked speculation that they had already married after Ed was photographed wearing a ring on his wedding finger at a gig on February 19, 2018.
In an August 2018 interview, Sheeran seemed to confirm he had married Seaborn in a secret wedding ceremony away from the prying eyes of the media and public.
When asked how he managed to plan the event privately, Sheeran replied: ‘I never do anything too public anyway’.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine in 2017, Sheeran said he believes the meaning of life is to start a family, although he doesn’t plan on doing so any time soon because he doesn’t want to raise children while on the road touring.

But before realising his childhood sweetheart was in fact the one after all, Sheeran racked up quite a colourful dating history with some of Hollywood’s most prolific singers and models.
He is reputed to have dated a number industry leading ladies including Nicole Scherzinger, Hungarian Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin, Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt and perhaps most infamously British songstress Ellie Goulding who is widely believed to have cheated on him with One Direction’s Niall Horan.
Sheeran also enjoyed a year long relationship with events and tour manager Athina Andrelos, a romance which he confirmed was the inspiration for his hit ‘Thinking Out Loud’.

In January 2017, Sheeran revealed to Radio 1’s Total Access show that Seaborn had helped him to lose over three and a half stone by putting him on a rigorous exercise regime and diet plan.

After graduation, Seaborn went down a different professional path and now works as a senior risk advisory consultant at global accounting firm Deloitte.
