Professional bodybuilder Dallas McCarver has died at the age of 26.
According to TMZ, the top athlete – commonly known as Big Country – tragically passed away after choking on food at his home in Florida.
It’s believed he was found unconscious by a friend on Monday evening shortly after speaking on the phone with his WWE star girlfriend Dana Brooke.
Brooke told the publication that the McCarver had told her he was going to cook dinner before hanging up with “I love you. Goodbye.”
In a statement obtained by Hollywood Life, Mark Economou of the Boca Raton Police Department revealed that “the cause of death is pending on the Medical Examiner’s report.”
“At this time foul play is not suspected,” he added.
Just hours before his death McCarver seemed in good health, sharing a workout video on Instagram in which he chest-pressed 160 pound dumbbells at a local gym.
He captioned the clip: “Could’ve been a little slower and better under control wth (sic) these 160s today… but sometimes you’ve just got to let the intensity flow. Great chest day with @josh_lenartowicz in @project_flex_fl#DragonsLair ! That damn @redcon1official#Silencer had me sweating like a whore in church boy! The 6’1’ 300-lb athlete was the face of RedCon1, an online sports supplement and training apparel site.
Many have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to one of the brightest and youngest stars in sport.
