Connie Johnson has escaped her room at hospice care in order to take part in a fundraiser for cancer research with her Love Your Sister charity.
The charity has been run by Connie and her brother, Samuel, after being inspired to make a difference during Connie’s ongoing battle with cancer.
The 40-year-old mum-of-two suffered bone cancer as a child and uterine cancer in her 20s. In the last few months she has moved to hospice care, with the sad news that she is in the final stages of breast and liver cancer.
The lastest fundraiser is an initiative of photographer Marie Ramos, who is creating ceramic tiles imprinted with fingerprints in the shape of love hearts.
The fingerprints are contributed by celebrities and supporters, and will create 2000 unique tiles that Ramos hopes will raise $100,000 for cancer research.
