Cuddling up with her youngest, Chezzi shared this cute picture on Instagram.
‘Sposed to be on the road back to Sydney to help my big patient @grantdenyer buuuutttttt I’ve had a little cheeky monkey sleep on me (and kick me in the ribs) since 3am,’ she said.
‘I know this won’t last forever.. and I feel like each time I look at her she’s getting bigger and bigger… so I’m just laying here deep breathing the smell of her little arm (banana & twisties) and enjoying her hot little breath on my face. Just for a little bit longer.’
It was a nice moment of respite for the mum, who is helping Grant cope with the crippling pain of his recent back injury. And the heartbreaking truth is he’s got some time to go before everything is A-OK again.
The TV star suffered an annular fissure, which is a tear in the lower disk of the back. While he returned to Dancing With The Stars this week, the struggle continues for some normalcy.
‘He’s still a bit stiff, and has to lie down flat when he can… but we are miles ahead of where we were a week ago!’ Chezzi wrote.
Things were a lot harsher for Grant just recently, with the star suffering through extreme pain.
‘He is in a lot of pain and it’s really difficult to watch,’ Chezzi recently told radio hosts, Ed Kavalee and Ash London.
‘It took me back to when he broke his back 10 years ago, because he obviously the pain is so intense, when he moves, that he can’t help but get quite angry, and that’s not his nature.
‘He was in such intense, acute pain when we got into hospital, and they checked his vitals and they said, “This guy needs to be given a massive dose of morphine, his blood pressure is through the roof”’.
Get well soon, Grant!
