Along with the news that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt yesterday came the revelation that the actress has petitioned the court for ‘physical’ custody of their six children.
According to divorce papers, Jolie is wishing to grant Pitt visitation rights to Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
Amid speculation that Jolie doesn’t approve of Pitt’s parenting, People reports he will ‘fight hard’ because he believes Jolie having sole physical custody, ‘doesn’t seem like what’s best for the children.’
‘Brad thinks Angelina is a great mother,’ the insider says. ‘But he is also a great father. There is no way he is going to be absent for any part of his kids’ lives.’
TMZ, reports that there was no ‘third person’ to blame for the divorce, citing ‘anger issues and substance abuse” as contributing factors that led to Jolie’s decision.
Moving trucks were seen arriving at the Jolie-Pitt Los Angeles property yesterday, with police officers working to keep the swarms of paparazzi away.
