Brad Pitt is preparing to lift the lid on his ‘twisted’ marriage to Angelina Jolie, his ugly custody battle and his secret love for Jen in a long-awaited $50m tell-all.
Brad Pitt: My Story will expose every secret from the 53-year-old, who wants to go ‘on the record’ in the wake of his shock divorce from Ange, 41.
Brad is brokering exclusive world extract rights to the book, which is believed to be in the final stages of publishing.
‘After everything that Brad’s been through, he just wanted to get his story out there,’ says a publishing source.
‘He’s very upset about the lies that have been spread by Ange and the many mistruths to come out of the early reports from their split. Now he wants to set the record straight. The book covers everything – he’s left no stone unturned.
‘Not surprisingly, there was a hell of a bidding war to the rights for the book. Brad wound up securing a $1 million advance, which is unheard of in publishing circles, and figures from global sales are set to top $50 million.
‘There’s no doubt it will be a worldwide sell-out. This is the story everyone wants to hear.’
‘He’s going to be upfront and honest about everything, including how he and Ange fell in love while making Mr & Mrs Smith – Jen [Aniston] won’t like this part – and how Ange eventually broke him,’ the publishing source tells New Idea.
‘In the book, he talks about how splitting from Jen was the biggest regret of his life.
‘It’s probably the biggest bombshell that will come out of the tell-all – how he wished he was still married to Jen and that leaving her for Ange was a mistake.’
